Bonding
Dental bonding is done to fix any cracks or chipped teeth that you may have. Dental resin is used to help shape the teeth and then it is hardened to the tooth using a special light. The resin is meant to reflect your normal tooth size and color.
Fillings
Fillings are used to get rid of cavities. A cavity comes from a small hole that is burned in your tooth due to poor hygiene. The hole needs to be cleaned out and then filled with a dental resin, in order to keep the tooth healthy. Fillings restore your tooth to full function and help prevent decay and any other future dental problems.
For a lot of people, the dentist can be a nerve wracking experience, but even more so for kids. We teach each patient what the tools are and explain every step to them to give them knowledge about the procedure so they feel more secure and in control. It is normal for kids to feel anxious when going to the dentist, which is why we offer several luxury items to help them relax. Our lobby is designed for kids, filled with books and some toys that will help them feel more comfortable. During their treatment, they can watch a movie on a nearby screen to help them take their mind off of the cleaning.
Some kids are more anxious than others, so to give them a more relaxed visit, we also offer laughing gas. Laughing gas is nitrous oxide, a colorless and odorless gas that relaxes the body but will not put them to sleep. It wears off when breathing normal oxygen again. If you know that your child is anxious about the dentist and would benefit from laughing gas, do not hesitate to let us know.
